What is an "Absorption Rate"? Absorption Rate = the statistical time needed for 1 home to come under contract.
What does "Supply" mean? Supply = the statistical time needed to bring all currently available homes to contract.
WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?? . . . Here's my interpretation: When using the most recent 6 month marketing information, (statistically) 1 home in TALL GRASS will go "under agreement" every 6.43 days. With 30 homes on the market currently, it would (statistically) take 192.9 days for all available homes to go "under agreement" (assuming that no new properties entered the market at all during this period)
