Looking to buy a home in a 55 Plus Active Adult Community in the Naperville area? In order to purchase a home in a 55 Plus Community, typically at least one of the buyers has to be 55 or older. In addition, there are usually rules about how long guests may stay (grandchildren...etc).

Most 55 Plus Communities have HOA (Home Owner Association) fees. These fees usually pay for the outside maintainance, clubhouse and other amenities. Some of these fees could be substantial ($200/mos).

If you walk into a model home for an Over 55+ Community without your real estate agent, you have probably forfeited the ability to use your agent and have the builder pay for it. Let your agent know that you wish to view these communities so that your best interests are protected.
